Ikisu Shrine

Located in Ikusu, Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The main deity is Kunado-no-kami, with Amenotorifune-no-mikoto and the three Sumiyoshi deities enshrined as secondary deities. According to the shrine's tradition, the shrine was enshrined in Nikkawa, Kamisu Village, during the reign of Emperor Ojin, and was moved to its current location on April 13, 807 (Daido 2). The shrine is said to be the one mentioned in the entry for the first year of Ninna (885) in the Sandai Jitsuroku, which reads, "The god was granted the rank of Jorokui (sixth rank) at Kito and the rank of Fifth Rank (lower rank)." During the Koan War (1281) prayers were offered for the peace of the nation by imperial decree. Former prefectural shrine. The annual festival is held on April 13. The Aouma Festival is held on January 7th, the Spring Festival on March 6th, the Kazamatsuri on July 27th, the Autumn Festival on November 23rd, and the Nagoshiharae, a form of the Kawaharae ritual, on June 30th.

茨城県神栖(かみす)市息栖に鎮座。岐神(くなどのかみ)を主神とし、天鳥船命(あめのとりふねのみこと)、住吉(すみよし)三神を配祀(はいし)している。社伝によれば、応神(おうじん)天皇の代に神栖村日川(にっかわ)に鎮祭され、807年(大同2)4月13日に現在地に遷祀されたという。『三代実録』仁和(にんな)元年(885)の条に「正六位於岐都説(おきつす)神従(じゅ)五位下を授く」とみえるのが当社にあたるという。弘安(こうあん)の役(元寇(げんこう)、1281)には、勅旨を奉じ国家安泰の祈願が行われた。旧県社。例祭は4月13日。1月7日に白馬祭(あおうまのまつり)、3月6日に春祭、7月27日に風祭(かざまつり)、11月23日に秋祭、6月30日には川祓(かわはらえ)の形を残した夏越祓(なごしのはらえ)が行われる。
