Photographic paper for contact printing coated with a low-sensitivity emulsion using silver chloride as the photosensitive material. It is so named because it can be handled under gas lamps without being exposed to light. It has also been called chloride paper or silver chloride paper. It has about 1/30 to 1/50 the sensitivity of high-sensitivity chlorobromide paper (for enlarged prints). Its ISO sensitivity is P12 to P16.
