Rosegger and others, and then poet W. Bonsels's "The Adventures of Maya the Bee" (1912) was published, and World War I began. With the publication of Austrian F. Salten's "Bambi" (1923) and E. Kästner's "Emil and the Detectives" (1928), it seemed as if a new frontier was opening up, but World War II put an end to it. ...
