Castaneelas - Castaneelas

...Various types of wind instruments are used depending on the region, such as the vertical flute called gaita, the simple clarinet called dulzaina, or the bagpipes (also often called gaita). Percussion instruments include the tambourine (pandereta) and castanets (castañuelas or palillos), both of which have ancient origins, as well as large and small drums. The zambomba, known as a Christmas instrument, is a friction drum, with a reed passing through the center of the drum and rubbing it with a wet hand to make the drum resonate.
