The Kanto War lasted from 1454 (the third year of the Kyotoku era) to 1482. The Kamakura Kubo Ashikaga Shigeuji was in conflict with the two Uesugi clans (Yamanouchi Uesugi and Ogigayatsu Uesugi), who were the Kanto Kanrei (regent for the Kanto region), and the war broke out when Shigeuji assassinated Uesugi Noritada. After that, Shigeuji (Koga Kubo), who fled to Koga in Shimousa, and his younger brother Masatomo (Horikoshi Kubo), who was sent to Kanto by Shogun Yoshimasa and settled in Horikoshi in Izu, came into conflict. The Uesugi clan supported Masatomo and often fought against Shigeuji, but eastern warriors also supported each other, and they made peace without being able to control the entire eastern region. →Related article Hirai Castle Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
