Born on September 16, 1898. In 1929, he moved from the Jiji Shimpo Company to the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). He was in charge of sports broadcasts, and his radio broadcast of "Go Maehata!" during the women's 200m breaststroke final at the Berlin Olympics in 1936 is famous.
