Among knitting, hand knitting is one type of knitting that ranks alongside knitting with needles. An infinite number of beautiful fabrics can be created from a single needle. Yarn is placed around a knitting needle with a hooked end, and the pulled out loop is knitted stitch by stitch to create the fabric. Patterns are made by combining chain stitches, fine stitches, medium long stitches, long stitches, etc. Grid stitch and net stitch are gentle and feminine. Pine stitch is beautiful and warm. Shippou stitch and shell stitch are suitable for thin fabrics in early spring. Ball stitch is also suitable for baby items. There are also a variety of other techniques, such as cross stitches, picots knitted around the edges of fabric, and popcorn stitches with a textured feel.

Crochet hooks are made of bamboo, horn, metal, etc., but metal is the most commonly used material today. The hook size indicates the thickness of the hook, ranging from 1/0 to 8/0. The higher the number, the thicker the hook will be, and it is used according to the thickness of the thread.
