Japanese: 書判 - かきはん

〘Noun〙 A seal, signature, or signature written in one's own hand at the end of a document. From the Nara period to the early Heian period, when signing by hand, regular script was used and this was called a jisho (self-signature) . Gradually it broke down into cursive script and became known as soumyo (cursive name) , and as the cursive name broke down further to the point where the original characters became unreadable, it became stylized and was called a shohan (written seal ) or kaou (signature seal) . It is said that there are types such as two-combined and one-character style based on the form. Seal.
