Izu Three Hot Springs

…This hot spring town developed around Shuzenji Onsen (weakly salted spring, simple spring, 30-82℃) along the valley of the Katsura River, and was one of the three hot springs of Izu along with Hashiriyu in Izuyama and Kona in Izu Nagaoka. It is home to Totsuko-no-yu, which is said to have been discovered by Kobo Daishi, the ancient Soto Zen temple Shuzenji, and the historic sites of Minamoto no Noriyori and Yoriie.
