Stone rows in Carnac, Brittany, France. Three groups of standing stones are lined up for 3 km. They are thought to be the remains of a kind of sun worship, and are the product of farmers around 3000 BC. The area is also home to a large number of other megalithic monuments, including dolmens and menhirs, from the Neolithic to Bronze Age periods. → Related article Megalithic monuments Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
