One of the names of Noh plays. It means "large and small drums" and is a general term for Noh plays performed with three types of instruments: flute (Noh flute), small drum, and large drum. There are many plays with a quiet and elegant feel, and most of the Noh plays with asura and wig performances are small drums. Some plays include drums, and even among "maigoto" (dances), there are both small drums and large drum plays. Taikomono (Matsumoto Yo) Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
