Washi paper produced in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. The raw materials used are paper mulberry and other materials. The origins of its production are said to date back to the Muromachi period. In the past, the production of paper for folding umbrellas, shoji paper, binding paper, and other items was popular, but nowadays it is mainly used as washi paper for arts and crafts, and is also called "Owara craft paper."
