Frequency - Shindousuu (English spelling) frequency

The number of times the same state is repeated per second in a periodic phenomenon. In the case of waves or electrical vibrations, this is often called frequency. When the period is T , the frequency ν is ν＝1/ T . The SI unit is hertz, but it is also called cycles or cycles per second. The angular frequency ω＝2πν is sometimes simply called frequency. 周期現象に関して同じ状態が毎秒あたり繰返される回数。波や電気振動などの場合には周波数ということが多い。周期 T のとき，振動数 ν は ν＝1/T となる。SI単位はヘルツであるが，サイクルまたはサイクル毎秒ともいう。また角振動数 ω＝2πν を単に振動数と呼ぶこともある。
