...A volcano that was active in the latter half of the Quaternary Period, located in the Ryohaku Mountains that straddle the three prefectures of Ishikawa, Gifu, and Fukui. The name of the mountain refers to the three main peaks, Gozenmine (2,702m), Oonanjimine (2,684m), and Kengamine (2,680m), as well as Betsusan (2,399m) and Sannomine (2,128m) to the south, and Hakusan Shakadake (2,053m) to the west.
