Mount Oonanji

Japanese: 大汝山 - おおなんじやま
Mount Oonanji

This mountain is located in Tateyama Town, Nakaniikawa County, in the southeastern part of Toyama Prefecture. It has an elevation of 3,015 meters. Together with Mt. Oyama, it constitutes the main peak of Mt. Tateyama. Like Mt. Oyama, it is composed of ancient granodiorite and partly Hida metamorphic rock. It was the mountain that was moved when the main shrine of Mt. Oyama Shrine was rebuilt. There is a good view from the summit, and Lake Kurobe can be seen below. There is a rest hut in the depression at the summit.
