Summer fever

Japanese: 夏季熱 - かきねつ

Some children develop a fever when they are in a place with high temperature and humidity, but when they are moved to a cooler place, their temperature returns to normal, as if by magic.
It is called summer fever because it is more likely to occur in the hot and humid summer months, and is most likely to occur in babies between 4 and 8 months of age.
It is thought to occur due to an underdeveloped body temperature regulation mechanism, and it usually disappears after the baby's birthday.
Symptoms: When in a hot and humid environment, the child will develop a fever of 38-39°C, but this will subside if moved to a cooler place.
Even though he has a fever, he is energetic and has no loss of appetite. He doesn't have diarrhea. However, he seems to sweat less.
Countermeasures: During hot and humid seasons, use air conditioning to create a cool environment.
Even if your child has a fever, you can still give them a bath.

　高温多湿の夏におこりやすいので夏季熱といい、生後4～8か月の赤ちゃんにおこりやすいものです。
　体温の調節機構が未発達のためにおこると考えられ、お誕生日をすぎるころにはたいていはおこらなくなります。
　症状　高温多湿の環境にいると、38～39℃の熱が出ますが、涼しいところに移動させると解熱します。
　熱があっても、元気がよく、食欲もおちません。下痢もしません。ただ、汗のかき方が少ないようです。
　対策　高温多湿の季節には、冷房などを利用し、涼しい環境をつくりましょう。
　熱があっても、入浴をさせてかまいません。
