Ootsurugi Shrine

...The area near the summit, where bamboo grass grows thickly, is called "Heike's Baba" and has a legend of fugitives. The saddle leading to Maruzasayama is "Minogoe" (1,400m), where Otsurugi Shrine is located, and where the driveway from Sadamitsu Town on the north side, the highway along the Anabuki River, and the highway along the Iya River from the west side meet. Mount Tsurugi was originally called Ishidateyama, but it is said that it came to be called Tsurugi-san after Emperor Antoku's sword was dedicated under the huge stone called Hozo-seki at the top.
