...The shrine's land was confiscated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but afterwards Kuroda Nagamasa donated 300 koku, Hosokawa Tadaoki donated 1000 koku, and in 1646 (Shoho 3), Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu donated 1000 koku. The main shrine is in the Hachiman style and consists of the First, Second and Third Palaces. In 823 (Kōnin 14), Oobihime Shrine (the Third Palace) was built and completed by order of Emperor Saga. Since 879 (Gangei 3), the shrine has been built every 33 years under the jurisdiction of Dazaifu as part of the Kyushu government.
