In outdoor cultivation, there is no particular need to condition the soil, but in order to improve the soil's physical and chemical properties, the first thing to do is to till it well and introduce air into the soil, and then to maintain that condition for a long time and to increase its fertilizing effect, compost or leaf mold is mixed in. For foreign plants that do not grow well in acidic soil, 100 to 150 grams of hydrated lime per square meter is mixed in for each crop.
