"Auspicious Poetry Collection"

…The Roman poet Ovid's Ibis is an imitation of a poem written by Callimachus to sarcastically attack his opponents. His poetry and prose writings are said to have filled 800 volumes, but only his Hymns and Inscriptions remain in medieval manuscript form, and his Epics, which made him the "King of Elegy," and other works are only known as papyrus fragments. His prose writings, including his Catalogue, the Annals of the Athenian Dramatists, Studies on Democritus, and many others, have been lost.
