Rzeka Warta (English spelling)

Japanese: バルタ[川]（英語表記）Rzeka Warta

A river in northwest Poland. It is the largest tributary of the Oder (Odra) River, which flows along the border between Poland and Germany, with a total length of 808 km and a drainage area of 54,607 km2. It originates in the Kraków-Czestochowa Uplands and flows north through the Greater Wielkopolska Plain. It hits a group of east-west moraine hills near Koło, turns west, and flows through Poznań before joining the Oder. Its water level rises in spring, but the river is relatively stable. It is connected to the Vistula Valley by the Notec River, a tributary of the Warta, and the Bydgoszcz Canal.

ポーランド北西部の川。ポーランドとドイツの国境を流れるオーデル(オドラ)川右岸最大の支流で，全長808km，流域面積5万4607km2に及ぶ。源流はクラクフ･チェンストホバ高地に発し，ビエルコポルスカ平野を北流する。コウォ付近で東西方向のモレーン丘陵群にぶつかり，西へ流れを変え，ポズナンを経てビエルコポルスカ平野をほぼ貫流してオーデル川に合流する。春に高水位となるが，河状は比較的安定している。バルタ川支流のノテチ川とビドゴシュチ運河によってビスワ河谷と結ばれている。
