A company consisting of unlimited liability partners and limited liability shareholders. Unlimited liability partners are directly and unlimitedly liable to the company's creditors for the company's debts, while shareholders are not directly liable and are only obligated to contribute capital to the company. Because of its complex dual structure, it was not very effective, and there were very few of them in Japan, so it was abolished by the Commercial Code amendment in 1950.
