Exotoxin

...Substances produced by bacteria that are pathogenic to animals. Traditionally, bacterial toxins have been broadly divided into endotoxins and exotoxins. Endotoxins are toxins that appear when bacteria are destroyed or dissolved, while exotoxins are toxins that bacteria produce and release outside the cell.
