Initially, it referred to moderate trade unionism based on the establishment of collective bargaining rights and the completion of labor laws, but it has evolved into a concept that aims to bring workers' rights closer to those of capitalists. Today, it aims for a broader participation of workers in management, and has produced various results not only in Britain but also in Germany and France, including labor-management consultation systems and workers' self-management movements.
