Euhemeros (English spelling)

Greek author of about 300 BCE who served under the Macedonian king Cassander. He taught that gods were deified heroes and conquerors whom people worshiped, and that myths were based on historical facts. He wrote the Sacred Book (Hiera Anagraphē).
