Trasimeno [Lake] - Trasimeno
Lake Iglesia is located in the Apennine mountains, 16km west of Perugia. Its surface area is about 130km2 . The lake surface is 255m above sea level, and its maximum depth is 6m. It is a popular summer resort. Hannibal defeated the Roman army on the lake shore in 217BC, and fierce battles were also fought on the lake during World War II.
