Uno Chosai

...A Kabuki musician in the mid-Edo period. A master of the small drum. Dates of birth and death unknown. He went by the pen name Naganari. From 1713 to 1766 (3rd year of Shotoku to 3rd year of Meiwa), he mainly performed at the Edo Ichimura-za. He created techniques such as "raijiyo" and "kodama."
