From 1713 to 1766 (3rd year of Shotoku to 3rd year of Meiwa), he mainly performed at the Edo Ichimura-za. He created techniques such as "raijiyo" and "kodama." After retiring, he took the name Rokugo Shinzaburo. He is the founder of the Rokugo family of musicians.
