…The Old Testament also lists many musical instruments, including small cymbals, small bells, and rattles as idiophones, one-headed drums (toph) as membranous instruments, horns (shofar), trumpets, and reed flutes (ugab, khalil) as pneumatic instruments, and lyres (kinnor) and harps (nebel) as stringed instruments. These instruments have been found in fragments in archaeological excavations in Palestine.
