Waterboar - Waterboar

Japanese: ウォーターボーア - うぉーたーぼーあ
Waterboar - Waterboar

...From the first president JH Hoffman (in office 1854-55) to the fourth president JH Brand (in office 1864-88), attempts were made to annex the neighboring Basutoland, but failed, and in 1884 Basutoland was officially made a British protectorate. In 1867 diamonds were discovered in West Gricaland, but the Waterboer chief of the Grica tribe claimed them and asked Britain for protection, so in 1871 Britain occupied the area. Then, during the presidency of MT Stein (1896-1900), the Boer War broke out, and the Transvaal Republic formed a military alliance to fight against the British, but was defeated, and the area was annexed by Britain as the Orange River Colony from May 1900 to May 1910. ...

[Development History]
In 1867, a Boer farmer happened to see a stone his child was playing with and after an appraisal, discovered it to be a diamond rough. The region of West Gricaland where the rough was discovered was legally part of the Orange Free State, but the Waterboer chief of the Grica people claimed ownership of it and asked Britain for protection. As a result, Britain intervened in 1871 and incorporated it into the Cape Colony in 1880. The discovery of the rough caused a diamond rush, and speculators from all over the world flocked to the area to mine it in leased mining areas.
