Invaders Game

An arcade computer game that appeared in the late 1970s. The game involves dodging and shooting down invaders (space invaders) that attack on the screen. It was a simple game, but for the time, its fast-paced action created an explosive boom, leading to the appearance of specialized game arcades (Invader Houses) and coffee shops with game consoles. 1970年代後半に登場した業務用コンピュータ・ゲーム。画面上で攻撃してくるインベーダー (宇宙からの侵略者) をかわしながら撃ち落とすゲームで，単純だが当時としてはスピード感のある展開で爆発的なブームとなり，専門のゲームセンター (インベーダーハウス) やゲーム機を置いた喫茶店などが次々に出現，以後に続くシューティングゲームのさきがけとなった。
