Inomata

...Remains of the jori system remain in Kita-Jujo and Minami-Jujo, and there are ruins of a well mentioned in the Manyoshu. Inomata is said to be the home base of the Inomata clan, one of the seven clans of Musashi. Since the Meiji period, it has been one of the prefecture's leading silkworm-raising regions, but today it is few and far between.
