Shigetsuna Inagaki

Japanese: 稲垣重綱 - いながきしげつな

1583-1654 A daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born in 1582. The eldest son of Inagaki Nagashige. In 1604, he became the second generation lord of the Inagaki clan in Isezaki, Kozuke (Gunma Prefecture). He played an active role in the Siege of Osaka, and in 1615, he became the first lord of the Inagaki clan in Kariya, Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture) with a stipend of 23,000 koku. He served as the lord of Osaka Castle in 1659-1660. He died on January 8, 1660, at the age of 72. He was from Mikawa.

天正(てんしょう)11年生まれ。稲垣長茂の長男。慶長17年上野(こうずけ)(群馬県)伊勢崎(いせざき)藩主稲垣家2代となる。大坂の陣に活躍し,元和(げんな)2年越後(えちご)(新潟県)藤井(2万石),6年越後三条をへて,慶安4年三河(愛知県)刈谷(かりや)藩主稲垣家初代。2万3000石。慶安1-2年大坂城代をつとめた。承応(じょうおう)3年1月8日死去。72歳。三河出身。
