Chinese Writers Association

A unified organization for Chinese writers. In 1949, the All-China Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles, a national unified organization for the literary and artistic world, was formed. The predecessor of this association was the All-China Association of Literary Workers, which was organized as a sub-organization of its literary department. In 1953, it was reorganized into the current organization, whose members are literary experts such as writers, critics, translators, and researchers who have achieved a certain level of success. It also manages and operates magazines such as People's Literature and Literary News, as well as the People's Literature Publishing House and Writers Publishing House. Local chapters have also been established in each province, city, and autonomous region.

中国の文学者の統一組織。1949年に文学芸術界の全国的統一機関である中華全国文学芸術界聯合会が結成されたのにともない，その文学部門の下部団体として組織された中華全国文学工作者協会は当協会の前身。53年に，一定の業績をもつ作家，評論家，翻訳家，研究者など文学専門家を会員とする現組織に改組された。《人民文学》《文芸報》などの雑誌や，人民文学出版社，作家出版社なども管理運営する。各省･市･自治区には地方分会も設置されている。
