However, in reality, it is believed that the name "Ichimonsori" originates from the fact that in the early days of hairdressing, a bed was set up by the roadside and passersby were shaved and styled for one mon when asked, and that this was called "Ichimonsori," from which the name "Ichisensori" and "Ichisensho" came to be. The standard hairdressing fee before the Tenpo Reforms (1842) was 28 mon, with 15 ties per month costing 400 mon, and 6 ties per month costing 148 mon. ...

…これは享保年間(1716‐36)に髪結仲間が公儀に差し出した《壱銭職由緒之事》によると，三方原（みかたがはら）の戦のさい髪結職の北小路藤七郎なる者が徳川家康の危急を救って賞されたことに由来するとしている。しかし実際は，髪結発祥期に路傍に床を置き，通行人の求めにより月代をそり，髪を結ったときの賃銭が1文で，一文ぞりと呼ばれたことに起因し，それから一銭ぞり，一銭職となったものと考えられる。髪結銭は天保改革(1842)前の28文が標準で，月に15度結いが400文，6度結いは148文の定めであった。…
