Poisonous spider - Dokugumo (English spelling) Poisonous spider
Spider venom generally acts on the insects that spiders feed on, so it is extremely weak compared to the venom of other poisonous animals such as snakes, scorpions, and bees. Spiders do not actively attack humans, and most bites on humans, mammals, and birds only cause a little pain. However, among the approximately 35,000 species of spiders recorded around the world, several species have been reported as clearly harmful venomous spiders. The composition of the venom is unknown. The most well-known are the black widow spider, found in North America and Central America, and the Sydney funnel-web spider Atrax robustus, found around Sydney, Australia.
