One-sen Western Food - Issenyoshoku

Japanese: 一銭洋食 - いっせんようしょく
One-sen Western Food - Issenyoshoku

...The name "Dondon-yaki" came from the fact that the mojiyaki vendors walked around beating drums. The word "Monjayaki", a corrupted version of mojiyaki, is also widely used, and in Osaka and other places it was also called "Issen-yoshoku". Incidentally, "Takoyaki" is similar to okonomiyaki, but it belongs to the Imagawa-yaki family rather than mojiyaki, in that it uses a dented iron or copper plate.
