Fusamoto Ichijo

Japanese: 一条房基 - いちじょうふさもと

1522-1549 A nobleman and military commander from the Sengoku period.
Born in the second year of the Taiei era. Son of Ichijo Fusafuyu. His mother was Tamahimenomiya. He was a noble lord of Tosa (Kochi Prefecture). In the fifth year of the Kyoroku era, he became the Middle Captain of the Ukon-e, and in the sixth year of the Tenbun era, he was promoted to the rank of Junior Third Rank and also served as the Governor of Awa. He defeated Tsuno Mototaka and took control of Takaoka County. He married his father-in-law, Otomo Yoshiaki, and invaded southern Iyo, but committed suicide on April 12, 1545. He was 28 years old.

大永(たいえい)2年生まれ。一条房冬の子。母は玉姫宮(たまひめのみや)。土佐(高知県)の公家(くげ)大名。享禄(きょうろく)5年右近衛(うこんえの)中将となり,天文(てんぶん)9年従三位にすすみ,阿波権守(あわのごんのかみ)をかねる。津野基高を討って高岡郡を支配。岳父の大友義鑑(よしあき)とむすび,伊予(いよ)南部に侵入したが,天文18年4月12日自害した。28歳。
