Ichi - one

…Its body shape is similar to that of sea bream, and its main feature is a single black-brown band that crosses from the back to the ventral side of the eye, from which the name is derived. It is also known as meichi or gindai. It has many local names, including meicha in Owase, Mie Prefecture, ichimidai in Nagoya, ichi in Toba, and tarume in Kumamoto.
