Statement Psychology

...a branch of applied psychology that deals with psychological issues in trials and related procedures. Its main content is testimonial psychology, which concerns the probative value of testimonial evidence (including the defendant's confession), and trial process theory, which seeks to elucidate the process of forming impressions in trials. Criminal psychology (criminology), which concerns crime and the psychology of criminals, is now a separate and independent academic field.
