Golgi apparatus

Japanese: ゴルジ体

It is one of the intracellular organelles in which membrane proteins and secretory proteins are synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum and then transported to the Golgi apparatus, where the proteins are modified, such as by the addition of glycosylation, and introduced into the transport pathway. It also plays an important role in the movement of proteins within the cell. It has a layered structure surrounded by a lipid bilayer, and has a directional nature; the side from which proteins move from the endoplasmic reticulum is the cis side, and the opposite side is the trans side. Vesicles are formed around the membrane and leave the Golgi apparatus.

細胞内小器官の一つで，小胞体で膜タンパク質や分泌タンパク質が合成されたあとゴルジ体へと輸送され，ここで糖鎖の付加などのタンパク質の修飾，輸送経路への導入が行われる．その他，細胞内でのタンパク質の移動に重要な機能を果たす．脂質の二重層で囲まれた板状の構造が重層した構造をもち，方向性があり，小胞体からタンパク質が移動してくる面がシス側，その反対側がトランス側．膜の周辺から小胞が生成してゴルジ体を離脱する．
