Gas light oil - Gas light oil

A volatile oil contained in coal gas as a by-product during coal carbonization. It is a thin yellow oil that is lighter than water and is mainly composed of benzene-based aromatic hydrocarbons (alkylbenzenes) such as benzene, toluene, and xylene. 石炭乾留の際，石炭ガス中に副産物として含まれる揮発性の油。水より軽く，さらさらした黄色の油で，主成分はベンゼン，トルエン，キシレンなどのベンゼン系芳香族炭化水素（アルキルベンゼン類）である。燃料ともするが，ふつうは分留精製して各成分を分離する。
