Its abbreviation is Sge. It is a small constellation along the Milky Way in early summer. The 4th and 5th magnitude stars form a horizontal Y shape. It was established by Ptolemy and resembles the arrow shot by Hercules to save Prometheus from a rock being tortured by an eagle. Its approximate position is 19h40m in right ascension and +18° in declination. It reaches its culmination at 8pm in mid-September.
