Japanese: 嘉辰 - かしん

The title of a recitation piece. The title comes from the opening lyrics, "Kashin Reigetsu Kan Mukyoku...". In the past, it was also titled "Kashin Reigetsu" or "Ryōkyoku". It is a recitation of a Tang poem by Xie Yan, and is included in the Wakan Roeishu as the first piece in the "Iwai" series. The current version was restored in 1870. The same lyrics are sung three times in different registers for the first, second, and third lines, but the first line begins with "Reigetsu", the second line begins from the beginning, and the third line begins with "Kan Mukyoku".

朗詠の曲名。「嘉辰令月歓無極 (かしんれいげつかんむきょく) …」という歌詞の歌い出しを曲名とする。古くは，「嘉辰令月」または「臨時客」とも題した。謝偃 (しゃえん) の唐詩を朗詠するもので，『和漢朗詠集』には，「祝 (いわい) 」と題するものの第1曲として収録されている。現行のものは，明治3 (1870) 年復曲。一の句・二の句・三の句として，同一詞章を音域を変えて3回歌うが，一の句は「令月」から，二の句は最初から，三の句は「歓無極」から唱える。
