Born January 31, 1901 in Karlsruhe
[Died] October 10, 1974. Rome German female poet and writer. She married the archaeologist Baron Kaschnitz-Weinberg in Rome. After that, she accompanied her husband on his research trips, visiting Italy, Greece, North Africa, Turkey, and other places. These experiences became the basis of her later creative writing. Her works include the autobiographical novel Liebe beginnt (1933), Elissa (36), a collection of short stories Lange Schatten (60), Gedichte (47), Neue Gedichte (57), and the collection of poems inspired by the death of her husband, Dein Schweigen－ meine Stimme (62).
