Altai tribes

...the general term for the peoples who speak the languages ​​that make up the Altaic language family (Altaic languages). Also called the Altai peoples, it is originally a linguistic group concept based on the Altaic language theory proposed by Stralenberg in the mid-18th century. They are distributed over a very wide area, centered in the central part of the Eurasian continent (at one time the Altai region was thought to be their original homeland), from the western tip of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the east to the Balkan Peninsula in the west, and from northern Siberia in the north to southwestern China in the south.
