A mountain in the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado, USA. It is 16 km west of Colorado Springs and has an elevation of 4,301 m. It stands isolated from other mountains and has a snow-capped peak. The tree line is about 3,500 m, and the upper part is exposed granite. There are mountain railways and roads to the summit. In 1806, Lieutenant Z. Pike attempted to reach the summit but failed, but in 1820, Major S. Long and E. James' party were the first to succeed. To the southwest is the gold mining area of Cripple Creek.
