Famous examples include the "Kiyokawa dashi" in the Shonai region of Yamagata Prefecture, the "Arakawa dashi" in northern Niigata Prefecture, and the "Suttsu no dashi-fu" in Suttsu, Shiribeshi Subprefecture, Hokkaido.
