Shinoda
Also written as Shinda or Shida. A work of Kōwakamai. The first recorded performance was in 1551 (Tenbun 20). Author unknown. Taira no Masakado's grandson Shida no Kotaro lost his father at a young age, and his mother, ignoring the advice of her old retainer Ukishima Tayū, gave half of her estate, Hitachi Shinda-sho, to Koyama Yukishige, husband of Kotaro's sister Chitose, and asked him to be Kotaro's guardian. However, Koyama embezzled all of the estate and banished his mother and Kotaro. She then prayed to subjugate her mother, killing her, and tried to have Chihara Tayū kill Kotaro, who surrendered.

信太,志田とも書く。幸若舞の作品。上演記録の初出は1551年(天文20)。作者不明。平将門の孫信田小太郎(しだのこたろう)は幼少で父の死にあい,母は老臣浮島太夫の諫言を聞かず,小太郎姉千寿の夫小山行重(こやまゆきしげ)に所領の常陸信田庄の半分を与えて,小太郎の後見を依頼する。しかし,小山はすべての所領を横領し,母と小太郎を追放する。さらに,母を調伏で祈り殺し,降参した小太郎を千原太夫に殺させようとする。
