Atsuage - Thick Fried Tofu

Japanese: 厚揚げ - あつあげ

...It is also called "aburaage" or "age" for short. Other fried tofu includes namaage (also called atsuage) and ganmodoki. Namaage is made by deep-frying regular tofu, but the method of making aburaage is slightly different from that of regular tofu, as the "go" (tofu) is not heated enough to allow it to expand when fried.
