A catalog of Buddhist books from the Heian period. Compiled by Eicho (1014-95) of Kofuku-ji Temple, it was completed in 1094 (Kaho 1). It is a compilation of many treatises and biographies of scholarly monks from China, Korea, and Japan, and is a valuable catalog of Buddhist books in that it displays works related to Buddhist studies that have been handed down from the 11th century. The contents are divided into five sections: Gukyo-roku, Denryoku, Koron-roku, Miscellaneous and Den-roku, but there is no clear distinction between the Miscellaneous and Den-roku sections, and the Miscellaneous section includes The Biographies of the Great Masters of Toji Temple and The Gyojyo of Tripitaka Master Jien.
